This privacy policy tells you about the information we collect from you when you use our website.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in collecting this information, we are acting as a data controller and, the GDPR requires us to provide you with information about us, about why and how we use your data, and about the rights you have over your data.


NOTE: The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) does not apply to EEA or UK citizens residing in the United States. In these cases, they are subject to U.S Federal and State law.

We are The Intermodal Portal, operated by XSolutions Consulting Services LLC (Together with our affiliates and subsidiaries, “XSolutions”, “Intermodal Portal”, “we”, “us”, “our” and terms of similar meaning) and our related products and services).

We are not required to have a Data Protection Officer, so any inquiries about our use of your personal data should be addressed to the contact details above.


2 How we use your information


2.1 When you use our website


When you use our website to browse our products and services and view the information we make available, a number of cookies are used by us and by third parties to allow the website to function, to collect useful information about visitors and to help to make your user experience better. Such as:

2.2 When you submit an inquiry via our website


When you submit an inquiry via our website, we may ask you for your name, contact telephone number and email address.


We use this information to respond to your query, including providing you with any requested information about our products and services. We may also email you several times after your inquiry in order to follow up on your interest and ensure that we have answered to your satisfaction. We will do this based on our legitimate interest in providing accurate information prior to a sale.


Your inquiry is stored and processed as an email which is hosted by Microsoft within the United States. It may also be also logged in a CRM system on a cloud server based in the United States. Please refer to the “International Information Transfers” section of this Privacy Notice.


We do not use the information you provide to make any automated decisions that might affect you.

We keep inquiry emails for two to seven years, in accordance with our retention policy. CRM records are kept for one year if we do not receive a response to previous communications. Opt-outs are removed immediately upon receiving a request.


2.3 When you sign up to receive ongoing information


When you sign up to receive ongoing information, such as a newsletter or promotional emails, about our products or services, we ask for your name and your email address.


We will ask for your consent to use your name and email address to email you ongoing information which contains information about our products and other information which we feel might be of interest to you.


You can withdraw your consent at any time, and we will stop sending you the promotional information.


Currently, we do not share your name and email address with a third-party mailing system.


We do not use the information you provide to make any automated decisions that might affect you.


We keep your personal data for as long as we produce and distribute our information. If you withdraw your consent, we will mark your details so that they are not used and delete them after two years.


2.4 When you download a sample document


When you request to download a sample document, such as a white paper, report, or other document, we may ask for your name, company name, and your email address.


We use this information to email you a link or otherwise allow you to download the requested document. We may also email you after your download in order to follow up on your interest in our products and services. We will do this based on our legitimate interest in marketing to prospects for our products and services.


Currently, we do not share your name and email address with a third-party mailing system. Your information may be also logged in a CRM on a cloud server based in the United States. Please refer to the “International Information Transfers” section of this Privacy Notice.

2.5 When you submit a review about us


When you submit a review about us, we record your name, your email address and your IP (Internet Protocol) address, which is the address of your computer on the Internet.


We use this information to provide verified independent views about our products and services to potential customers. Your name and the content of your review (but not your email address or IP address) may be publicly displayed on our website. We will do this based on our legitimate interest in marketing our products and services.


We do not use the information you provide to make any automated decisions that might affect you.


Your personal data is stored for as long as we are marketing the product or services that the review refers to, after which it is deleted. You may ask us to remove your review at any time.


2.6 International Information Transfers


XSolutions is a U.S.-based company. If you are located outside of the United States and are a non-U.S. citizen, and enter Your information on the Site, please be aware that Personal Data we collect will be processed and stored in the United States, a jurisdiction in which the data protection and privacy laws may not offer the same level of protection as those in the country where you reside or are a citizen.


By using our Services and/or submitting your Personal Data, you agree to the transfer, storage, and/or processing of your Personal Data in the United States.


If you are accessing or using our Site or Services or otherwise providing information to us, you are also agreeing to the transfer of your personal information to the United States and other jurisdictions in which we operate or in which this site can be accessed.
